Amy Yoes grew up in Houston, Texas, and lived in Chicago, where she received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After several years in San Francisco, she settled in New York City in 1998. Room Tone, her first exhibition with Michael Steinberg Fine Art, in 2005, featured mostly paintings and a retrospective sculpture; she has since shown installation/wall drawing works in Out of Bounds at Wave Hill, New York, curated by Jennifer McGregor, Zip at Artspace in New Haven, Connecticut curated by Denise Markonish, Ex-Ode to the Corporeal Conversation, a collaborative project by J. Morgan Puett in Beach Lake, PA., and Site 92 at Smack Mellon in Brooklyn.
She is currently working on 50,000 Beds, a collaborative film project curated by Chris Doyle, which will be shown at three institutions in Connecticut: the Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield, Real Art Ways in Hartford, and Artspace in New Haven. She is also working on an installation project for James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and an installation project for a new high school in the Bronx through the Percent for Art program. NARI WARD

Nari Ward (b. Jamaica, 1963) received a BA from Hunter College in 1991 and an MFA from Brooklyn College 1992. Exhibitions include two Whitney Biennials, Venice Biennale, and Documenta XI. Ward has also received commissions from the United Nations, and the World Health Organization, and has collaborated with Ralph Lemon, Bill T. Jones and Toni Morrison. Grants include American Academy of Arts and Letters, the National Endowment for the Arts,New York Foundation for the Arts, John Simon Guggenheim and Pollock Krasner Foundations. Ward currently lives in New York, and teaches at Hunter College.

LEONARDO DREW

Vermont Studio Center Visiting Artist

(b. 1969), BFA Cooper Union in 1985. Drew has shown in institutions such as the Hirschhorn, the Smithsonian, the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin, Art Institute of Chicago, Miami Art Museum, and St. Louis Art Museum. He has also collaborated with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company and has participated in artist residencies at ArtPace, San Antonio, The Studio Museum of Harlem, and the Vermont Studio Center, in the spring of 1990. He divides his time between New York and Texas.
