ArtistBarbara Grossman
Barbara Grossman is a figurative painter from New York. Her canvases deal with color and pattern, and place the human figure in domestic interiors. For three decades, Grossman has been showing at Bowery Gallery, NYC, and exhibits widely around the country. Most recently, she has shown at Taft School, in Watertown, CT, the New York Studio School, Washington & Lee University, and the Wayne Art Center in Philadelphia. Her work will be appear in Rooms and Voices, a group exhibition at Gross McCleaf Gallery, Philadelphia, this year. She has lectured extensively, with visits to American University, Yale, Brandeis, SUNY Purchase, Dartmouth, and other institutions. She currently lectures and teaches at Yale, in New Haven, CT.
