Visiting Artist: David Kapp

David Kapp was born in 1953 in New York, NY. He received his MFA from Queens College in 1977 and his BFA from Windham College in 1974. His work has shown widely, and has included exhibits at the Alpha Gallery, in Boston, MA; Ruth Bachofner Gallery, in Santa Monica, CA; Zane Bennett Contemporary Art, in Santa Fe, NM; Tibor de Nagy Gallery in New York, NY; Galerie Michel Vidal, in Paris, France; Tisch Gallery, Tufts University; Brattleboro Museum in VT; and Lohin Geduld Gallery, in New York, NY. He received American Academy & National Institute of Arts & Letters awards in 1994 and 1985 and a Rosenthal Foundation Award, in 1985, among others. His work is in many collections, including Arthur Andersen Inc., BMW of North America, Chase Manhattan Bank, Colby College Museum of Art, Microsoft, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Nevada Museum of Art, and the Portland Art Museum, among many others.
