Visiting Artist: Kyle Staver

Kyle Staver earned her MFA in Painting from Yale University in 1987, and BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1976. Her awards include a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, 2015; American Academy of Arts and Letters Purchase Prize, 2015; Elected Member of the National Academy, 2015; ArtPrize, 2013
Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award, 2003; and the Benjamin Altman Figure Prize, National Academy Museum, in 1996 and 1998.

Staver exhibits her painting widely, including solo exhibitions at Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects; Tibor de Nagy; John Davis Gallery; Pennsylvania College of Art & Design;
Lohin-Geduld Gallery; Denise Bibro Gallery; Maurice Arlos Fine Arts; and Hackett-Freedman Gallery. A sampling of her recent group exhibitions in 2015 includes Invitational Exhibition of Visual Arts, American Academy of Arts and Letters; Worlds Without End, Brian Morris Gallery and Buddy Warren Inc.; and B Side, No. 4 Studio. Staver has been a visiting artist at the New York Studio School, Maryland Institute College of Art, Western Connecticut University, and Johns Hopkins, among many others.
