Visiting Artist: Richard Rezac

Richard Rezac is a Chicago-based sculptor who is currently teaching as a professor of sculpture, drawing, and graduate advising at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Rezac received his BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art and his MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, in Baltimore. Rezac has been awarded the Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant, The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, The Robert and Happy Doran Artist in Residency Fellowship at the Yale University Art Gallery, among others. He has had solo exhibitions at the James Harris Gallery, in Seattle; the Rhona Hoffman Gallery, in Chicago; Marc Foxx, in Los Angeles, and many others. Rezac is also featured in many public collections including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Detroit Institute of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, among others.
