Visiting Artist: Susan Calza

Susan Calza is an installation and multimedia artist. She received her MFA from the University of Illinois in 1983 and has been a member of the full time art faculties of Indiana University, Indiana and Johnson State College, Vermont where she served as co-creator of the Johnson State College/Vermont Studio Center MFA Program.

She resides in Montpelier, Vermont and her studio is in Barre, Vermont. Susan has received a number of awards and fellowship grants including grants from the Illinois Arts Council, the Indiana Council on the Arts, and The Vermont Arts Council.

In May 2014, Susan retired from a long and rewarding teaching career to focus solely on her studio work and travel.
