Susan Walp received a BA from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA. She did post graduate work at the New York Studio School and in the MFA Program at Brooklyn College. She is represented by Tibor de Nagy Gallery in New York. Her lengthy exhibition history includes solo exhibitions at Victoria Munroe Fine Arts in Boston and New York, Fischbach Gallery in New York, and Hackett Freedman Gallery in San Francisco. Walp has received the Academy Award in Art from the American Academy of Arts and Letters , the Guggenheim Fellowhip in Painting, and a Bogliasco Fellowship In Painting, and she is an elected member of the National Academy in New York. She was a Visiting Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Studio Art at Dartmouth College from 1998 through 2012. She also has taught at the International School of Art in Montecastello di Vibio, Umbria, Italy and the New York Studio School. She has been a Guest Speaker and Visiting Critic at a number of schools, including the Brooklyn College MFA Program, University of New Hampshire MFA Program, and Haverford College.
