Susanna Coffey (b. 1949, New London, CT) received a BFA from the University of Connecticut, and an MFA from Yale University. Her numerous exhibitions include Steven Harvey Fine Arts Projects in New York City, The Anchorage Art Museum in Alaska, The Valerie Carberry Gallery in Chicago; Steven Harvey Projects in New York City, Isabel Ignacio Gallery in Seville, Spain; Tibor De Nagy Gallery in New York City; The New Bedford Museum of Art; The Kwanju Biennale in Korea; The Weatherspoon Art Museum in Greensboro NC; The American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York City; National Museum of Contemporary Art in Thessaloniki Greece, and the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. Her work is featured in many collections, including the Yale University Art Gallery, The Danforth Art Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Indianapolis Museum of Art, The Akron Museum of Art, and The Boston Museum of Fine Arts. She has received awards through the National Endowment for the Arts, Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation, The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship, and has participated in residencies at The Rockefeller Foundation Bellagio Center and The Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation. Susanna Coffey lives and works in New York City.
