Last week, the VSC board and staff held a ceremonial groundbreaking before the Kowalsky Annex was moved to its new foundation.

The Annex is now fully relocated, and excavation for the new rear addition to Kowalsky House has begun. The construction crew is currently conducting a soil evaluation to determine the steps necessary for suitable bearing capacity for the new addition. Excavation is slated to resume on Monday, 10/17, and the new concrete foundation should be poured by Friday, 10/21, weather permitting.

In the meantime, the construction crew will continue to tidy up the Annex site and begin repairs the relocated structure; this work will be ongoing for a few weeks.

Parking behind Kowalsky House and in the driveway between Kowalsky & Wolf Kahn Studios remains prohibited, as does foot traffic through the construction zone.
