Jon Gregg

Founder

Jon received a BFA ( '67 ) and an Masters of Architecure with honors ( '71 ) from the University of Pennsylvania , where he studied with Louis Kahn. From 1971 - 1983 he practiced architecture and ran a Design /Build firm in Johnson. After the loss of his sister and brother,  Jon along with  Louise von Weise and  Fred Osborne founded the Vermont Studio Center in 1984.
A painter,  Jon has shown at 55 Mercer Gallery. New York, NY. In 1994, ’96, ’98, ‘00, '02, '04, '06  and these shows have been reviewed in Art in America, The Brooklyn Rail, and Abstract Art On Line.
He has  won awards  from the  Vermont Arts  Council,  and the Preservation Trust of Vermont. A practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism since 1971, in 2006 he biked across the country to celebrate his 60th birthday.
