Vermont Studio Center is pleased to announce the following June 15 award winners:

Frankel Anderson Chicago Artist Awards
Sponsored by the Marshall Frankel Foundation and Davis Anderson, this award is open to all Chicago-area artists, including faculty and alumni of the Art Institute of Chicago, for one 4-week VSC residency.

Vermont Studio Center / Cave Canem Foundation Fellowship
This new fellowship provides one 4-week residency to a poet who is a Cave Canem fellow.  Home for the many voices of African American poetry, Cave Canem is committed to cultivating the artistic and professional growth of African American poets.  http://www.cavecanempoets.org/

Dedalus Foundation Fellowship  for artists working in the modernist tradition
The Dedalus Foundation sponsors six Fellowships throughout the year for outstanding PAINTERS whose work is a living extension of the modernist tradition as exemplified by the work of Robert Motherwell. Awards are based on the caliber of the work presented, and on a clear connection to the modernist tradition as judged by the fellowship jury.

Civil Society Institute Awards
This program offers three 4-week VSC residencies to inner-city minority artists with demonstrable financial need.  This program is designed to support artists from small East Coast cities in the U.S. (for example New Haven, Jersey City, and Baltimore). Vermont Studio Center Fellowships Supported by the National Endowment for the Arts
Four VSC Fellowships funded by the National Endowment for the Arts for outstanding painters, sculptors, writers, photographers, or printmakers who demonstrate clear financial need. Awards are based on a combination of the caliber of the work presented as well as demonstrated financial need.

New England Artist Award
  (additional awards may be made as funding is acquired)
Up to two 4-week VSC residencies for outstanding artists living in one of the 6 New England states (ME, VT, NH, CT, MA, RI).

Vermont Studio Center Fellowship Awards
Up to 16 Full Fellowships will be awarded.  These fellowships are open to all artists and writers based on merit as represented in the portfolio or manuscript.
