WriterMargot Livesey
Margot Livesey was born and grew up on the edge of the Scottish Highlands. After taking a BA in literature and philosophy at the University of York in England, she spent most of her twenties in Toronto writing and waitressing. Subsequently she moved to America where she has taught in a number of colleges and universities including Williams College, the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers and the Iowa Writer's Workshop. She has received grants from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation and is the author of a collection of stories and five novels, including Criminals, Eva Moves the Furniture, and Banishing Verona. She is currently a writer-in-residence at Emerson College in Boston.
