Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award
The Vermont Studio Center (VSC) is pleased to partner with the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2009 to provide residencies for exceptional visual artists working in painting, sculpture, graphic arts, mixed media or installation.
From an expected applicant pool of more than 2,000 artists, the Vermont Studio Center’s visual arts jury will award three 4-week Pollock-Krasner residencies to U.S. artists and one 8-week residency to an international artist.
“We are grateful for all the work that the Pollock-Krasner Foundation has been doing to support artists over the years,” said George Pearlman, painter and executive director of the Vermont Studio Center. “And we are honored that VSC residencies will become a part of the rich artistic legacy of Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner.”
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Inc. was established in 1985 to provide financial support to artists of established ability through the generosity of the late Lee Krasner, one of the leading abstract expressionist painters and the widow of Jackson Pollock.
If you are a visual artist interested in applying, please submit your application by February 17, 2009.
