Amy Feldman (b. 1981, New Windsor, NY) received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design and her Master of Fine Arts from Rutgers University. Recent solo exhibitions include Breath Myth (2017) at Blain Southern, Berlin; Psyche Shade (2016) at Ratio 3, San Francisco, CA; Good Gloom (2016), Corbett vs Dempsey, Chicago; Moon Decorum (2015) at Brand New Gallery. Select group exhibitions include New York Painting, curated by Christoph Schreier, Kunstmuseum, Bonn, Germany (2015); 2159 Miles, curated by Brand New Gallery, Milan, and Museo Britanico Americano, Mexico City, Mexico (2015). Feldman’s work has been reviewed and featured in ArtForum, The New York Times, Art in America, Manhattan Magazine, Time Out New York, BOMB Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, Hyperallergic, The New Criterion, among many others. Feldman received a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant in 2013, and The Dedalus Foundation awarded Feldman the Robert Motherwell Fellowship at The MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire. She received fellowships from VCUArts and the Fountainhead Foundation, Richmond, Virginia; Yaddo, Saratoga Springs, New York; The Marie Walsh Sharpe Foundation, Brooklyn, New York; and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine.
