Angelina Gualdoni (b. 1975, San Francisco, CA) received her BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in 1997 and her MFA from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000. Her paintings have been the subject of solo and group shows nationally and internationally at the Queens Museum, NY, St. Louis Art Museum, MO, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL, The Aldrich Museum, Connecticut, the Museum de Paviljoens, Netherlands, and the Neuberger Museum, Purchase, NY. Her work is featured in the Saatchi Collection, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Nerman Museum in Kansas City. She has been the beneficiary of several grants and fellowships, including New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in 2008 and 2015, Artadia, and Pollock-Krasner, and has attended residencies at MacDowell Colony, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, International Studio and Curatorial Program, and Chateau La Napoule. Gualdoni is a founding member of Regina Rex, an artist-run exhibition space located on the Lower East Side, NY. She is represented by Asya Geisberg Gallery in New York. Gualdoni lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
