Ellen Driscoll (b. 1953, Boston, MA) has had recent solo exhibitions at Rafius Fane Gallery in Boston, Museo di Storia Naturale dell’Accademia dei Fisiocritici in Siena, Italy, Eli Marsh Gallery at Amherst College, and the College of St. Rose in Albany. Recent commissions of the artist’s work have been featured at the Charles Jonas Federal Courthouse in Charlotte, North Carolina and at The International High School and Middle College High School in Long Island City, New York. Driscoll's awards include fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Bunting Institute, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Massachusetts Council on the Arts, the LEF Foundation, the Rhode Island Foundation, Anonymous Was a Woman, and a Fine Arts Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Her work is featured in major collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Whitney Museum of Art. She is Program Director of Studio Arts and Visiting Professor of Sculpture at Bard College, and was awarded the Outstanding Educator of the Year Award in 2018 from the International Sculpture Center.
