Poet, editor, and translator Gillian Conoley’s A Little More Red Sun on the Human: Selected Poems is forthcoming with Nightboat Books in Fall 2019. Conoley’s most recent collection, PEACE, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. In 2017, she was awarded the Shelley Memorial Award for lifetime achievement from the Poetry Society of America. Conoley’s translations of three books by Henri Michaux, Thousand Times Broken, appeared with City Lights. Conoley has taught as a Writer-in-Residence at the University of Iowa Writer’s Workshop, Vermont College, University of Denver, Tulane, and many other institutions and venues. Poet-in-Residence and Professor of English at Sonoma State University, where she edits Volt, Conoley makes her home in the San Francisco Bay Area.
