Lucy Pullen is a Canadian artist originally from Halifax Nova Scotia. She is based in rural Sullivan County and New York City. Her work revolves around geometry, conceptual ambition, technical daring, and wordplay. Exhibitions include The Cloud Chamber and Related Works at The Henry Art Gallery in Seattle (2011), No Soul For Sale at the Tate Modern in London (2010), I Would Prefer Not To at Artspeak in Vancouver (2010), and How Soon Is Now at the Vancouver Art Gallery (2009). Formerly an Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, her new studio space is a storefront in Ridgewood Queens.
