Peter Gallo (b. 1959, Rutland, VT) is an artist and writer currently represented by Horton Gallery (New York) and Anthony Reynolds Gallery (London, UK). He received his Ph.D. and MA in Art History from Concordia University in Montreal, and a BA from Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT. For many years he wrote articles and reviews for notable publications including Art in America and Art New England. Gallo's works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States and Europe, including Anthony Reynolds Gallery (London, UK and Barcelona, Spain), Horton Gallery (New York), Freight + Volume (New York), White Columns (New York), Douglas Hyde Gallery at Trinity College (Dublin), Wendy Cooper Gallery (Chicago), and the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Massachusetts. His work is featured in international public and private collections, including the François Pinault Foundation in Venice and La Caixa Foundation in Barcelona, among many others. Peter Gallo currently lives and works in Hyde Park, Vermont, and is a Fairbanks Visiting Scholar in the Humanities and Art History Department at St. Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont.
