The author of nine novels, three collections of short fiction, two books of essays and five books of poetry, Rikki Ducornet has received numerous awards including the Lannan Literary Award for Fiction, The Bard College Arts and Letters Award, the Prix Guerlain and an Academy Award in Literature. She has been a finalist for the National Book Critics’ Circle award and is widely published abroad. Her books have been listed best books of the year by the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. Recent exhibitions of her paintings include a retrospective at the I Fell gallery in conjunction with Wounded Galaxies ( University of Indiana) 2017, Amnesty International’s group exhibit, I Welcome, Prague 2018. Ducornet is one of the writers/artists featured in the International Encyclopedia of Surrealism, published by Bloomsbury Books, London, 2018.
