Shana Moulton (b. 1976, Oakhurst, California) received a BA in Art and Anthropology from University of California, Berkeley, and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University. Recent solo exhibitions of the artist's work include Shana Moulton - The Undiscovered Drawer at Atlanta Contemporary in Georgia; Outhouse Portal at NICC in Brussels; Every Angle is an Angel at Palais de Tokyo in Paris; Journeys Out of the Body at Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida, among many others. Moulton’s work has been featured in group exhibitions at White Cube in London, Villa Empain – Fondation Boghossian in Brussels, The Center for the Arts in Jackson, Wyoming, and Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts in Australia. The artist is a recipient of a Creative Capital Grant, a Van Lier Fellowship through Harvestworks in New York City, and has been an artist in residence at the Smack Mellon Studio Artist Residency, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Workspace Residency, De Ateliers in Amsterdam, and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Her work has been reviewed in Frieze, Artspace Magazine, Artforum, Artborne Magazine, Libération, Art21, and Artillery Magazine, among many others.
