About 50 area elementary-age students and a dozen adults attended a fun and exciting puppet show by No Strings Marionette Company at Vermont Studio Center’s Lowe Lecture Hall on Friday afternoon, July 19. Puppeteers Dan Baginski and Barbara Paulson thrilled the audience with their show “Nick of Time,” in which a rocket ship carrying Astronaut Nick Eastman and his “hoverbot” Glitch is attacked by a deep-space alien. The characters were puppets designed, built, and brought to life by Dan and Barbara, who also brought the puppets into the audience for up-close interaction. These Vermont artisans lovingly hand craft the marionettes, props, and scenery. The performance was made possible by the Johnson Public Library.

The Johnson Public Library arranged a special summer performance by Vermont’s No Strings Marionette Company on Friday, July 19, in Vermont Studio Center’s Lowe Lecture Hall in Johnson.
